Answer:
identified a small pink flowering plant near the pond using Google Lens. It turned out to be Portulaca grandiflora, commonly known as ‘Moss Rose’ or‘Table Rose’.
The app provided its scientific name to me and it belongs to the Portulacaceae family, and mentioned that it is often used as a ground cover in gardens. I was able to add this information to my biodiversity register.
