Chandrayaan Class 3 Summary
Rani was an inquisitive girl. She often asked her family, teachers and friends many questions. She wanted to know more about the sky, sun and moon. Once, she asked her mother, “how far is the Moon”. She got a simple reply that the Moon is very far away. But she continued to think about the Moon. One day when she woke up, her brother shouted India is on the Moon. It surprised Rani and she looked at TV screen. She saw only the photos of some machines, but she had no idea about them. She was confused how Chandrayaan reached the Moon. Pratik who was her elder brother, helped her. He brought Rani to the house of Vivaan. Pratik and Vivaan were good friends, and his mother Nandini was a scientist. Nandini aunt welcomed them. She explained all about Chandrayaan, rocket and machine. She also told Rani that a rocket is used to reach the Moon.
