With respect to lifestyle, people have become more sedentary, relying on faster means of transportation, walking less and doing less amount of physical activity. In urban areas, even children do not play enough outdoor games. Dietary patterns people in India is also shifting more towards unhealthy food choices. These include increased consumption of fast foods, oily and fried foods, carbonated and sweetened beverages, sweets and desserts, etc this is coupled with a sedentary lifestyle and less or no physical activity.
