The person I have known since my childhood and hence know very well is my best friend Swati Aggarwal. Originally, she is from a small town in Punjab but her family moved to Ranchi 5 years ago. So, now, she lives in Ranchi with her parents. She is very beautiful and has the kindest eyes that I have ever seen. She not only works hard but is also very intelligent and has always done well academically.
She has lovely long hair and at school, other pupils would urge her to remove the pins and open her hair so they could see the long well-kept hair. Even though I have seen very many beautiful people, very few ladies match the beauty of my friend. She is very knowledgeable and loves animals.
Interestingly, even when she is very worried or sad about something, she always smiles to make people around her comfortable. She not only loves those around her, but is also compassionate. I have often observed her compassion towards our neighbours, especially when a new neighbour moves in or when one of the neighbours was going through a hard time or was too old. Swati would sacrifice her time to go to a needy neighbour and offer help of some kind that would instantly make the neighbour feel appreciated.
At present, Swati who scored brilliantly in her engineering, works as an executive car designer in Suzuki, a renowned automobile company. She completed her Bachelor’s of Technology in Automobile Engineering from the University of Delhi. Thereafter, she was selected by Suzuki.
I feel that Swati is a towering intellectual. Despite being a fresh graduate, she was offered a place in a world-class organization. Many senior people struggle for years to join such companies. She nhade it in the first year of her career. That is definitely a remarkable achievement. Unquestionably, the credit for this goes to her in-depth knowledge of various disciplines of automobile engineering and her creativity.
She is an active learner. Normally, when anyone starts working, they don’t pay attention to improving their knowledge or skills. But, this is not the case with Swati. She is always willing to expand her knowledge and learn new skills. She often reads magazines and attends seminars to keep up to date with the latest technology. All these things make her different from others. I can’t stop admiring her.
2. Write about a neighbour, who is loud in speech or rough in behaviour. Put in some physical description, some account of the person’s trade or occupation, and also say something about his or her opinions and reputation amongst the neighbours.

I do not get along with my neighbour. He has been living in our community for about 3 years after he bought the house from the previous owner. So he is our neighbour for the last three years and shortly after he started living here people started noticing his annoying behaviour. From the day he moved into his house, I have had to deal with his unfriendly, dirty, and noisy way of living.
First of all, my neighbour is very unfriendly, and that is why he is hated. For example, during the day when I see him, he does not say hello to me. Sometimes, I try to have a conversation with him, but he always ignores me or gives me a cold look. In addition, my neighbour is not only mean with me, but with my young siblings, too. Sometimes, when they are playing in front of his house, my neighbour comes out and tells them to leave using filthy language that scares the children.
Second, the awful thing is that not only is my neighbour unfriendly, but he is dirty, too. For t example, during the week, he often throws his trash in front of our house. Moreover, his lawn looks like a jungle with empty bottles and other trash among the big grass that is growing. He does not behave politely and often we find him rude with others. He often shouts on very silly issues.
He often complaints about people standing in front of his house while it is a street and people stand there for a while to look for an auto. In my opinion, he has no right to yell at the children who play in the nearby playground. He does not go out very often and stays at his home most of the time. But he complains about everything, about everyone. Since he has complaints on other people, he should have followed the strict rule not to disturb others but in reality, he does the opposite.
I remember him scolding a little girl who mistakenly entered his garden and just enjoyed the flowers. She did nothing and but he acted very impolitely with her. People in our locality sometimes make fun of him for his behaviour and usually avoid him from the social gathering. He has a habit of advising people while he does not listen to anybody’s request. Thus, most people dislike him.
3. A person I hope I shall never meet again.

There are lots of people you meet in your life. It is not necessary that all of them you like. I categorize people in three types. One you like most, second one you don’t like and the third one who has no impression at all on your life. It is a natural phenomenon that we can’t be friendly to all pepple whom we meet. Of course there are always some good reasons as to why we like or hate people.
In my personal opinion, it is very awkward to hate a person solely on the basis of their physical appearance or on such things on which they have no control for example their face, colour, height, race or religion etc. However, there are many other good reasons that you can dislike a person and never want to meet again.
One such person whom I would never like to meet again is my school friend, Saroj Chandel. Saroj and I were inseparable in high school. We finished each other’s sentences, wore each other’s clothes, shared a diary, and were roommates.
When Saroj was young, her father had committed suicide. Her mother was barely competent and Saroj had to parent herself at a young age. She was dangerously close to being outright narcissistic, but I chalked it up to her overcompensating for lost attention and love.
When she went to college she found another friend named Meeta. I knew our friendship was ending. She began to cut and dye her hair to resemble Meeta and even wore her clothes. She was becoming her, sharing and losing her identity in her. I guess it was insurance to prevent another loved one from leaving her. Her transformation signalled to me that our friendship was also mimicry. Looking back, I understand that the closeness she shared with me was a disguise for survival.
She did everything in her power to attract me as a best friend. I was a substitute for the solid foundation she lacked and craved. We played out the parent-teen rebellion, since she couldn’t with her mother. I wish I had had the maturity in high school to step back from the situation, to let go in healthy doses, and to realize that she wasn’t abandoning me.
She couldn’t help herself. The relationships she fabricated in high school were mad attempts at family creation. Today she’s living far away. I hope she’s happy and that the distance removes her enough from anything familiar, giving her the opportunity to start from scratch and to give up the mime.

I want to draw yotir kind attention towards the irregular bus service in our area. Not only do the buses ply at infrequent intervals but also sometimes three or four buses are going to the same place at the same time.
The rude and irresponsible behaviour of both drivers and bus conductors with the commuters is another point of worry and discomfort. They look towards the passengers with indifference and behave with them in a very strange and absurd way. They lack etiquette and use filthy language. Sometimes they do not stop for commuters even when there are empty seats in the bus.
Generally, the bus drivers do not stop the bus at the fixed stops. They seem to enjoy the sight of the passengers running after the bus. The passengers hardly get into the bus, when it starts. In this way many commuters fall, and feel a lot of irritation and insult.
No less irresponsible is the behaviour of conductors. They never bother to see whether the passengers have got into the bus or not, and they blow the whistle. The bus moves while passengers have only one foot on the footboard.
They forget the elementary duties of good conductors and behave indecently. They show no courtesy and sympathy for the senior citizens and the ladies.
It is my humble suggestion that they must be taught how to deal with the passengers. Presently they must be instructed and advised suitably to mend their ways and frequent surprise checks can improve things a lot.

In the bustling city of Oakville, there lived a 14-year-old girl named Lily. She was an ordinary ninth grader who loved spending her free time doodling in her notebook and hanging out with her friends at the local park.
One sunny afternoon, as Lily was heading home from school, she noticed something peculiara stray kitten mewing pitifully from a cardboard box by the side of the road. Lily’s heart melted at the sight of the tiny creature, and without hesitation, she scooped it up in her arms and decided to take it home.
As she arrived home with the kitten cradled in her arms, her parents were surprised but supportive. They agreed to let Lily keep the kitten, on the condition that she took full responsibility for its care.
Lily named the kitten Whiskers and showered it with love and affection. She made sure it. had plenty of food, water, and cuddles every day. Whiskers quickly became her faithful companion, following her around the house and curling up in her lap whenever she sat down to study.
However, keeping a pet wasn’t as easy as Lily had imagined. She had to juggle her schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and taking care of Whiskers. There were days when she felt overwhelmed, but seeing Whiskers’ playful antics always brought a smile to her face.
One day, disaster struck when Whiskers fell ill. Lily was beside herself with worry as she rushed Whiskers to the vet. The vet assured her that with proper care and medication, Whiskers would make a full recovery.
Lily spent sleepless nights nursing Whiskers back to health, and her efforts paid off when Whiskers finally regained his strength and vitality. Lily was overjoyed to see her furry friend bouncing around the house once again.
As she cuddled Whiskers in her arms, Lily couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. Taking care of Whiskers had taught her responsibility, compassion, and the importance of never giving up, even when things seemed tough.
Looking down at Whiskers purring contentedly in her arms, Lily whispered to herself, “I could hardly believe that this could happen to me.” And in that moment, she realized that sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness can lead to the greatest adventures.
ii. You have travelled with your school party to another town for a picnic. After seeing the sights before lunch, you slip into a shop to eat ice cream; when you come back, your group has disappeared. Describe your attempt to find the group, how you spent the rest of the time, how you got back home, and what the others had done in the meantime.

In the little hut of Artyom, the forester, a young man who had been out hunting, had come in for the night. Outside the window the darkness of the night was full of the noisy uproar into which nature usually breaks out before a thunderstorm.
“I tell you what,” said Artyom. “I am not afraid of wolves or bears, or wild beasts of any sort, but I am afraid of man. You can save yourself from beasts with a gun or some other weapon, but you have no means of saving yourself from a wicked man. “What a night what a night!” the young man muttered. “It is the time for a robbery. Do you hear?” The forester looked at the young man, and sank on to the bench, collapsing like a man terrified by sudden bad news. He said in a tearful voice, “You might go into the passage and bolt the door. And we must put out the light. By ill-luck they may find their way here.”
“We ought to be going, and you talk of bolting the door! What are you afraid of? Have not you got a gun? Let us go. There was a shout again. Get up!”
“What do you think of me, lad?” said the forester. “Do you think I am such a fool to go straight to my undoing?” The young man with his dog went out. Not more than ten minutes later there was a loud knock at the door. The forester went to the door. The young man and his dog were drenched to the skin. They had come in for the heaviest of the downpour.
“A peasant woman driving in a cart; she had got off the road…” answered the young man. “She was caught in a thicket and was injured. I know now that you are a scoundrel and the lowest of men. And you are a forester, too, getting a salary!”
“And suppose you are shouting for help?” said the young man, breaking the silence. “How would you feel, you beast, if no one ran to your aid? You have upset me with your meanness. You must have money to be afraid of people! A man who is poor is not likely to be afraid. I’d like to take and rob you for spite, to each you a lesson!”
Artyom first sat down. Big tears rolled from his eyes. The young man looked at his tearful face, frowned, then picked up his gun and walked away.
